Overview

Commercial Coating Solutions was commissioned as part of a wider refurbishment of the Lamborghini & Lotus dealership in Stockport, managed by Pinkstone Homes. Our role involved a full respray of internal and external window frames, soffits, cladding, and key perimeter elements, including bollards, barriers, flag poles, and the black totem. In addition, we repaired holes in the cladding from previous signage, ensuring the building presented a clean, professional finish. The project was carried out both during and outside working hours to avoid disrupting dealership operations.

Objectives & Approach

Modernisation: Refresh the dealership with a sleek, consistent finish across all cladding, windows, and perimeter elements.

Precision Finish: Achieve a smooth, matt finish on flat panels and cladding surfaces, a challenging task given the size and layout of the façade.

Durability: Provide a long-lasting coating suitable for high-traffic areas, including entrances and valeting bays.

Minimal Disruption: Complete work in and out of working hours to allow the dealership to remain operational.

Challenges

Matt Finish on Flat Panels: Achieving a smooth, matt finish on large flat panels is technically difficult, requiring careful spray technique and attention to environmental conditions.

Operational Dealership: The site remained fully operational throughout much of the project, requiring careful planning of in-hour and out-of-hour work.

Detail Work: Repairing holes in the cladding and seamlessly integrating the respray with existing surfaces required precision and skill.

Preparation: Surfaces were cleaned, sanded, and masked, ensuring the repaired areas blended seamlessly with existing panels.

Spraying Technique: Specialist spray equipment was used to achieve an even matt finish across all panels, windows, and perimeter elements.

Safety and Efficiency: MEWPs and standard access equipment allowed safe completion of high-level areas, and works were scheduled flexibly around the dealership’s opening hours.

Result

Visual Transformation: The dealership now presents a uniform, modern aesthetic, with smooth matt cladding, refreshed white walls, and consistent window frames both internally and externally.

Durability: All surfaces were treated with high-quality coatings to ensure a long-lasting finish suitable for a commercial automotive environment.
